Van Cleef & Arpels used a number of different premier firms to make these special watches like Piaget and Concord Watch Co. Such is the case with this VC&A especially made for the firm by Concord.
Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of quartz movements for certain wristwatches, VC&A utilized mechanical movements from these firms. Using centuries old watchmaking practices, craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch.
This special watch is all-original down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. Its case presents in excellent condition. Its original and untouched dial is mint. And its fine handwound movement is very clean. Photos of the inside available upon request.
One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is running strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new VC&A watch in our testing position.
